Mr. Griffin began his professional career as a staff tax accountant for Ernst & Young, LLP. Mr. Griffin continued his CPA career for several years, working for both Novogradac & Company LLP and the Reznick Group. Mr. Griffin specialized in providing tax, audit and consulting services for affordable housing developer clients. In 2000, Mr. Griffin joined Klein Financial Corporation. Over the following 7 year period, Mr. Griffin provided financial consulting services to several developers, focusing primarily on tax exempt bond financed affordable housing developments. In 2007, Mr. Griffin joined ROEM Corporation as its Director of Finance. While at ROEM, Mr. Griffin successfully built a large pipeline of affordable housing developments. These communities were successfully financed with both 9 percent and 4 percent tax credits, as well as local, state and federal financing programs. While at ROEM, Mr. Griffin also tended to the financing needs for ROEM’s portfolio of operating properties. Mr. Griffin is currently employed as the Chief Financial Officer for Churchill Stateside Group.
Mr. Griffin has a strong network of relationships in the financing world and prides himself on successfully collaborating with public and private financial partners to close transactions in a manner that meets everyone’s goals and objectives. Mr. Griffin is a founding partner of For the Future Housing and is involved in reviewing projects to ensure feasibility and provide guidance with closing all required project financing. Mr. Griffin has a B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California (inactive status).
